COVID-19 Update

The Executive Committee continue to communicate with Imerys regarding the reopening of the slipway. Stringent new procedures will need to be put into place, and approved, before the harbour complex is to be reopened for recreational activities.

This will undoubtedly take many days to achieve. In the meantime, we ask Boat Club members to remain patient and not to attempt to launch at Par until official confirmation is obtained

Access to Harbour

Please see the following message from the

St Austell Bay Boat Club secretary, Rob Hancock.

The Executive Committee are in communication with Imerys following last nights welcomed news, we hope to develop a plan that will allow our members limited use of the facility whilst the pandemic is with us. The slipway (and harbour complex) remains closed and members should not attempt to enter. As soon as the Executive and General Committee has a satisfactory agreement, we will post on the club FB page and Web page. Please remain patient as it may take sometime to get approved procedures in place.

Message from Nancy Jayne

I have just spoken to the harbour office at Fowey, they have confirmed that the slip way remains closed at the moment. The harbour master will be deciding on how to move forward on Wednesday. Anyone seen launching from Fowey or out and about on the river / harbour area will be approached by the harbour master and asked to return home
