How to Join | SABBC | Launching Facility CornwallHow To JoinSt Austell Bay Boat Club (SABBC) is a friendly, members-only club based at Par Harbour on the south coast of Cornwall, offering private access to our slipway and harbour facilities for launching and retrieving powered craft and other small vessels. Attend a membership meetingPick up and complete an Indemnity and Membership application form. Meeting dates: 2
Hand in your applicationBring your documents and payment (see right). Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis after the 30th November deadline, which gives existing members a chance to renew first. 3
Health & Safety InductionAbout an hour around the docks covering safe use of the slipway, tidal awareness, emergency procedures, and the general rules and expectations for using the harbour. 4
Receive your passWhen the induction is complete you will be issued with your launching pass and car/boat stickers etc. What to bring
Good to knowPlaces are limited — the facility caps the club at 160 full members. Over 18s only, owning a boat up to 20ft. No personal watercraft/jet skis. Annual renewals: forms are available at meetings and from the website from September. ( About Par HarbourSABBC membership runs on an annual basis and gives you access to our facilities at Par Harbour throughout the season. As a member you can get involved in the wider life of the club, attend the Annual General Meeting, and have a say in how the club is run. Par Harbour sits within St Austell Bay and benefits from good shelter in a range of conditions, with access to open water and some of the finest coastal cruising grounds in the South West — from day fishing and water sports to longer passages along the Cornish coast and beyond.
